Tennis racket and ball on the baseline poster

Racket and ball on the baseline poster, “MATCH POINT”

No player appears on this clean tennis poster: only a wooden racket standing on its handle and a yellow ball at its base, on a tournament court. Behind it are the net and an empty umpire’s chair, then orange stands and pennants, with spectator silhouettes in the foreground. This absence creates anticipation, as if the player were about to come back and serve. The title “MATCH POINT” reinforces the idea of a suspended moment just before the decisive point. The colors of the court and the pared-back composition make for an image that is both calm and charged with tension.

A understated tennis poster for a living room or office

Its pared-back composition fits into a living room, an office, a bedroom or an entryway without overloading the wall. It suits understated interiors with light wood, black metal or white walls, and works well hung above a work desk. In a clubhouse, it recalls the stakes of the big matches. It can sit alongside other, livelier tennis posters. A gift for a player before an important tournament, a coach or a fan of the great finals.
